On June 26, 2010, Canadian Listed occupation list was amended, the Government of Canada has amended its current immigration procedures to put greater emphasis on economic recovery and further reduce the Federal Skilled Worker application backlog pending for decision under old file system, GOOD NEWS for applicants waiting for years. The changes are effective immediately.

Effective June 26, 2010, the Government of Canada announced that it will cease accepting new investor applications.
